Thai Yoga Massage for Couples, Family and Friends Workshop

The nature of Thai Yoga Massage can really help deepen bonds with partners and family members. It is a very intimate and personal therapy where a close connection can be formed in a very short space of time. Sharing massage with your partner can also bring new depths into your relationship.
Thai massage is something that I share regularly with my own family, sometimes as full treatments but more often than not, when we are sitting around chatting, it is great just to be able to give a shoulder or back massage, which is always very much appreciated. Children of any age also love massage, it can be simple and fun and, as we all do, children love to relax.
The day will consist of learning a wide range of techniques.
Even on a basic level, Thai Yoga massage can be beneficial for a myriad of conditions including: general stress,headaches, back pain, digestive disorders, shoulder and neck tension, joint pain, arthritis, menstruation problems, insomnia and other stress related conditions. It can also improve posture, breathing, flexibility and circulation.
We will explore foot and hand massage, tension releasing techniques for the legs and hips and a back and shoulder massage sequence.
We will also learn a simple and soothing stomach massage which can be extremely beneficial for the general health of the digestive system.
The vital element within Thai Yoga Massage is the art of sharing a healing touch.
We will look at ways to develop a light touch that allows easier access into the tissues and induces a state of calm and deep relaxation for giver and receiver alike.
These techniques may be used independently on specific areas of the body, but by the end of the day, we will also have looked at how they can be put together into a sequence that flows from one movement to the next.
Everyone will receive a course manual, detailing the content of the workshop.
